Tie Luo Han translates to Iron Warrior Monk. The tie luo han cultivar is one for "Four Great Oolongs" of Wuyi. The tea garden is located in the Zheng Yan (Wuyishan National Nature Reserve) which is where the most prized Wuyi Cliff Oolongs come from. IRON MONK's main feature is the full body thickness of the soup and the classic "yanyun," which is the rocky/minerality lingering effect of that Wuyi Oolongs are famous for.
This batch was harvested in May 2021 and has undergone a high roast 4 times back in 2021 with traditional longan wood charcoal to provide a medium roast. Now that the tea has rested, IRON MONK, it's ready to drink now or can age longer to mellow out further.

Gong Fu Brew: First infusion: 5 grams / 100 mL / 100° C / 5 secs
Second infusion: 100° C / 8 secs
Then add 5 seconds for each subsequent infusion.
